The first food label was introduced in the 1960's and only listed the ingredients found in the food.  Pretty simple.

Over time, the food label has evolved into a breakdown of the macros (protein, carbs, fat) along with vitamins, minerals, enzymes and more.  IF you know how to read a label, it can give you tons of useful information about whether a product is good for you or not.  But most of us are as clueless as can be.  After all, they don't teach reading food labels in school these days.

Ingredients (I aim for 5 or fewer ingredients.  In this case, less is more)
